DUBAI: Pakistan’s top-notch cueist Saleh Mohammad will be honoured appropriately for his historic record-shattering 147 break on the opening day of the 24th Asian Snooker Championship, President of Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) Asghar Valika said on Tuesday.
“A 147-break is a very elusive feat and we would honour Saleh. But before that our mission is to accomplish some thing in the championship,” he told APP in an interview here.
“It’s a great honour for Pakistan that Saleh is the first player in the 24-year history of Asian Snooker to achieve this feat,” valika maintained.
He said the PBSA would be approaching federal and provincial sports ministries and Pakistan Sports Trust (PST) for announcing financial rewards for Saleh Mohammad for this extraordinary feat.
The UAE Billiards and Snooker Association has already announced US$5000 and a 5000 Dirham watch for Saleh’s perfect 147 break which will be presented to him at the ceremony after the final.
