JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, responding to fresh accusations that he illegally accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars from a U.S. citizen, said he would step down if he is indicted.
Olmert told local media in Jerusalem that he never took illegal campaign contributions and said a lawyer handled his finances, and everything was legal.

Olmert said Talansky had made contributions to him for two mayoral campaigns for Jerusalem.
