KHAIRPUR: Five persons, including a child, were killed and 20 others injured in a head on collision between a pick-up and a passenger bus in the limits of Ubaro police on Sunday.

Reports said the ill-fated family of the Manak tribe was on way to Mero Mangsi when the pick-up they were riding on collided head on with a passenger coach at the Mari Chowk near Ubaro. Three persons, Ms Momal, child Abu Bakar and the driver of the pick-up Aijaz Ahmed, died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospitals of Ubaro, Rahimyar Khan, Ghotki and other hospitals.

Later, two of the injured succumbed to their injuries whose identification could not be ascertained. The injured included Abdul Haq, Rabia, Zamiran, Nadia, Suleman, Arosha and others.
