
KUALA LUMPUR: Pakistan’s Farhan Mahboob and Mansoor Zaman have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Malaysian Open Squash Championship.
In the event being held in Kuala Lumpur, Pakistan sixth seed Mansoor Zaman defeated Australia’s Wade Johnstone in three games against two.
Pakistan seventh seed Farhan Mahboob won three games against one over Egypt’s Tarek Momen to be placed in the last eight.
Lahore based Yasir Butt failed to qualify for the main rounds of the tournament after
conceding a defeat from Australian Wade Johnstone in final qualifying round while Kashif Shuja, also from Pakistan, was beaten by Egypt’s Omar Mosaad and went out of the tournament.
