
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, after consulting with the coalition parties, has appointed 14 assembly members belonging to the Pakistan People’s Party as parliamentary secretaries.nnIn a statement issued from the Prime Minister House, Islamabad, in the first stage, 14 assembly members, belonging to all four provinces, have been assigned the new responsibilities.nnAmong them, eight members are from Punjab, three are from Sindh, two from NWFP and one member is from Baluchistan.nnFollowing are the names of the Parliamentary secretaries and their departments: nFrom Punjab: Chaudhry Saeed Iqbal - Communications, Mohammad Ejaz Virk - Petroleum, Captain (retired) Rai Mujtaba Kharal – Interior, Azeem Daultana - Information, Nawab Liaquat Ali Khan – Food & Agriculture, Sajid-ul-Hasan – Finance, Mir Dost Mazari – Water & Electricity and Mian Abul Sattar – Planning & Development.nnFrom Sindh: Shaikh Nauman Islam – Railway, Dr Mehreen Razzaq Bhutto – Health and Rameesh Lal – Tourism.nnFrom NWFP: Sanyur Ali Khan – Commerce and Dr Mehboob Ullah Jan – Religeous Affairs.nnFrom Baluchistan: Zill-e-Huma – Women’s Welfare.nnIn the second stage, parliamentary secretaries will be appointed from the Awami National Party (ANP) and Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam (F) after consulting with the leaders of these parties.
