
KARACHI: The government of Pakistan has appointed former Sindh Assembly Speaker, Hussain Haroon as Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, replacing the incumbent Munir Akram.
Talking to Geo News, Hussain Haroon confirming his appointment said that the prime minister had personally told him of his being appointed as the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to UN for serving the nation and the country, but nothing in writing has thus far been received by him in this regard. He said that he was prepared for taking over the new responsibilities in the UN for serving the nation and the country.
