ISLAMABAD: Government owes Rs72 billion rupees to Oil Marketing Companies as part of subsidy allocated for petroleum products.

According to sources, the supply of oil may be affected if the above dues are not cleared in time. This may also affect the supply of oil to the power generation units, they added.

A meeting of oil advisory council will soon be convened to review the current state of affairs.
