KARACHI: The people in this mega-metropolis city burst into protest on the persistent unannounced protracted load shedding, which made them loose their temper, who at different localities here ventilating their resentments torched tyres, voiced slogans against Kesc and blocked the traffics at some places.

Model Colony, Malir, Jinnah Avenue, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Liaquatabad, Banaras, Nazimabad, Gulbahar, Musa Colony, Federal B Area, Orangi Town, Lyari, Shershah residents were the worst hit by frequent power breakdowns and prolonged load shedding, which piled besides other miseries, water famine also.

The people voicing slogans against the inept Kesc management, demanded uninterrupted supply of electricity in the city. Citizens, who had thronged at the Kesc complaint centers, told Geo News that their telephone calls were not being responded, but before any untoward incident taking place, the police reaching the scene brought the situation under control and the crowd dispersed peacefully.
