KARACHI: Hyderi Baloch secured their second consecutive win when they beat Baloch Mujahid by 1-0 in a match of the Premier League Football, held here at the CDGK Stadium on Friday night.
In the first half, Baloch Mujahid dominated the game but could not strike due to poor finishing from the frontline, featuring Mohammad Hanif and Mohammad Nadeem. Both the strikers missed two open net chances in the session.
However, it were Hyderi Baloch who took the initiative when Ijaz Ali Bhutto’s thunderous drive from 20 yards went into the net in the 40th minute. The second half saw fierce battle, with incisive counter-attacks from both sides.
Just before the final whistle, Hyderi Baloch could have added to the tally but Shehroz Khan’s close range shot went off target. The win took Hyderi Baloch’s points to six from two meetings while Baloch Mujahid are yet to open their account after playing three matches. On Saturday night, Ghareeb Nawaz Dalmiya were scheduled to meet Sharafi Mohammadan.
