PESHAWAR: Following the suicide bombing of the Zangli check post, the police within the city and outskirts here have been put on high alert.

Police sources said that foolproof security arrangements have been made in the city and its surrounding areas. Picketing at all the entry and exit points of the city have been further tightened, while the checking of the vehicles plying in the city have been beefed up. Police sources told Geo News that besides police patrolling, contingents of Frontier Constabulary have also been posted within the city in a bid to thwart any untoward incident.
