
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has decided to accept resignations of the PML-N ministers for opposing Asif Ali Zardari in presidential elections.
Sources of the Prime Minister House told Online that President-elect Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, other leaders of coalition partners and parliamentary leaders in Senate and National Assembly exchanged views over Nawaz Sharifís opposition to Asif Ali Zardari in presidential elections.
They also deliberated over the resignations of the PML-N ministers. The ruling party leaders counselled Asif Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani to accept the resignations. Sources disclosed that the resignations would be accepted by Friday. There will be reshuffling in the cabinet and portfolios of incumbent ministers will also be changed.
The MQM has also sought the ministries which it had held in the previous government. The ministries and other lucrative posts will also be given to the PML-Q parliamentarians, who defected the Chaudhrys of Gujrat during the polls. New cabinet will be completed by next Tuesday and President-elect Asif Ali Zardari will administer oath to them.
