KHAIRPUR: Rallies were taken out here in Khairpur, Sukkur, Pano Aqil and other cities to celebrate the victory of Asif Ali Zardari as the President of Pakistan.

The Pakistan People’s Party Jiyalas crowded the streets of Khairpur, Sukkur and other cities, chanting the slogan: “Zinda Hai BB, Zinda Hai.” PPP City Khairpur President Muhamamd Sallih Ansari, while addressing a rally, said when Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had said that democracy was the best revenge.

“Today, the PPP has avenged the murder of Benazir by sending Zardari to the presidency,” he said. He said national and international analysts were applauding the political maturity of Zardari. “The country and the people will prosper now,” he added.

Meanwhile, the sacked employees of the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) took out a rally here on Sunday to celebrate the victory of PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in the presidential election.
