
ISLAMABAD: Muslim League-N has submitted papers in the National Assembly nominating Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for NA leader of the opposition.
ML-N MNAs, Zahid Hamid, Abid Sher Ali, Hanif Abbasi and others here, while submitting the application to NA Secretary for the nomination of opposition leader, made the plea that since ML-N members’ tally amid all the opposition parties was highest, therefore, ML-N parliamentary leader, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan be nominated as the NA leader of the opposition.
NA secretariat sources told that the NA Speaker would be giving her final decision on the request. However, sources told that until the acceptance of the resignations of the ML-N federal ministers, they would continue to be considered part of the government and only after the acceptance of resignations, ML-N opposition leader would be appointed.
