
KARACHI: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) unveiled on Monday the names of twelve fresh match commissioners for the second phase of the Premier Football League, which will resume on Wednesday after a long break of 36 days due to Ramadanul Mubarak. The second and final phase, carrying 102 matches, will last till December 6 to decide the fresh champions of the season.
Model Town Football Academy’s (MTFA) head coach and former international Chaudhry Muhammad Asghar will serve as match commissioner during the home matches of Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) at Raiders Ground, Faisal Town Lahore.
Following PEL’s request PFF have also changed the venue for two matches as, under the fresh alteration in the schedule, PEL will play their home matches against Afghan FC on November2 and 5 at Model Town Football Academy (MTFA) Ground instead of the Raiders FC Ground, Faisal Town in Lahore.
Arif Siddiqui, a former FIFA referee, will look after national champions WAPDA’s home matches at Railways Stadium in Lahore. Abdul Shakoor will, as usual, serve as match commissioner here at Peoples Stadium while Mastan Khan will act in the same capacity in place of Usman Baloch here at the CDGK Stadium.
Former FIFA referee Ahmad Ali has been appointed to serve here at Pak Steel Township Ground and Mian Abdul Bari has been placed at PMC Ground in Faisalabad while Ghulam Muhammad Samad will perform his duties as match commissioner at Government High School Ground in Chaman, Balochistan.
Nasir Kiyani has been appointed to handle matches at Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) Ground in Rawalpindi and Qazi Muhammad Asif has been made match commissioner for the matches to be hosted by former champions Army at Army Sports Complex in Rawalpindi.
Shahid Ahmad Khan will serve at Naval Sports Complex Ground in Islamabad while Irfan Khan Niazi will act as match commissioner during the home matches of Pakistan Television (PTV) at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Ground near Hamidi Hall in Islamabad.
