
KARACHI: MQM delegation will meet the Prime Minister on Monday to convince him to repeal the KESC''s decision of recent tariff hike and help save the economy.
Addressing the media, Deputy Convener MQM Coordination Committee Dr. Farooq Sattar said Karachi is the life line of Pakistan and his party''s MNAs will move a resolution in the National Assembly on Monday, appealing to the Federal Minister for Water and Power to take prudent actions against the concerned regulators.
He described the recent hike by the government as ‘tyrannical’ which will further put financial and economic burden on the people.
Farooq Sattar said that according to some reports, KESC is planning to further increase the tariffs in near future.
He urged the KESC officials to come clean on their policy and resolve the reservations of the people of Karachi.
