LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Board (PCB), Ejaz Butt Saturday said he is not satisfied with the performance of Pakistan cricket team’s coach Geoff Lawson and that other names are being considered for the important position.
He was talking to media after holding meeting with senior board officials here to discuss his way of working, future plans and the financial position of board.
“I would like to go for someone who has played for Pakistan but we will see what the circumstances are. We have a lot of cricketers we can give opportunity to,” he said in reply to a question.
On the ICC meeting in Dubai on 14th October, Butt says he will try to get whatever he can for the good of Pakistan cricket.
He said an investigation has been launched to find the reasons behind the tampering in the team selected by the selection committee.
“I am investigating the issue so will not comment on it. But I consider it a very serious offense. It shouldn't have happened in the first place”.
PCB's Chief Operating Officer Shafqat Naghmi didn't attend the meeting.
