
MOSCOW: At least 12 people were killed and another 105 injured in an earthquake that shook the restive Russian region of Chechnya on Saturday, a government official said.
"Twelve victims died in the districts of Gudermes, Shali and Kurchaloy," all in the east of Chechnya, a health ministry spokesman from the Caucasus territory said, adding the death toll could rise.
