
KARACHI: Fine batting by opener Fazal Subhan and deadly bowling by left-arm spinner Adnan Kaleem helped Pakistan Cricket Club beat Qasmi Cricket Club by 109 runs while the AO Cricket Club and Orangi Muslim Cricket Club match ended in a tie, in the KCCA Zone VI A Division Cricket League, here at the KCCA Stadium and Asghar Ali Shah Stadium, respectively.
At the KCCA Stadium, batting first Pakistan CC scored 249-7 in 40 overs. Fazal Subhan hit 82 with six fours and three sixes as Saad Surkhail 36, Akbar-ur-Rehman 31 and Shaharyar Ghani 29 batted well. Right-arm medium-fast Abid Qasmi took 3-84 and Talha Fahim 2-31.
In reply, Qasmi CC were bowled out for 140 runs in 30.4 overs. Saqib Siddiqui scored 31, Rehan Azam 37 and Talha Fahim 26. Adnan Kaleem captured four wickets for 32 runs.
At the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium, AO CC batted first and were all out for 185 in 40 overs. Shahid Ayub scored 43 with two fours and a six, S M Babar’s 52 included two boundaries. Fawad Khan took 4-56 and Rasheed Hammad 4-46.
Orangi Muslim CC reached 185-9 in their 40 overs, thus the result was a tie. S M Kamran Ali scored 40 while Fawad Khan made 41.
