UK Sees Increase In Psychiatric Admissions But Decrease In Available BedsAccording to a study published on bmj.com, there has been a marked increase in the number of compulsory admissions to inpatient psychiatric care in the UK and a significant increase in the number of patients that seek psychiatric care for alcohol and drug problems. However, these increases have been accompanied by a decrease in the number of NHS beds available.
