
NEW DELHI: Further blow to the Pakistan India relations came as another Pakistani prisoner died in Amritsar jail, the jail authorities said.
Asif, 32 who was expecting repatriation this month died before reaching hospital. He complained of severe chest pain.
Jail officials claimed that he was suffering from tuberculosis ever since he was lodged at the Amritsar central Jail.
After completing prison term, he was recently shifted from Gurdaspur jail to Amritsar Central jail.
Pakistan High Commission has also provided him consular access and he was expecting repatriation to Pakistan in the next couple of weeks.
Asif was arrested last year for allegedly violating the Indian Passport Act.
