NEW DELHI: Indian President Pratibha Patil has received an e-mail threat from unidentified person. The officials in the Rashtrapati Bhavan confirming the mail threat said intelligence agencies have been investigating the issue.

The Indian President is on a four-day visit to Pune where her security has been tightened.

No person or group has claimed responsibility for this threat. Media reports quoting sources said the mail reportedly mentioned words such as “doomed” and “damned country.”
