
NEW DELHI: Indian National Security Adviser M K Narayanan said on Sunday India will not block the Chenab water to Pakistan.
In an interview with NDTV, he said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had made it clear during his meeting with President Asif Zardari in New York that India would not block the Chenab water. He said that India did not want conflict on the issue, adding they wanted to carry forward the peace process.
To a question, he said India will do business whoever is in power in Pakistan. ìTalks will be held with the new set-up in Pakistan in Pakistan,î he said. To a question on the joint anti-terrorism mechanism, he said it had not worked well so far but “at least both sides are listening to each other”.
