
PESHAWAR: Security forces on Monday targeted militants’ hideouts in Chaharmang area in Bajaur Agency in which three militants were reportedly killed.
On the other hand, Mamond and Mandal tribes are holding important jirga today. The jirga will chalk out strategy to hasten operation against militants in the area.
According to sources, gunship helicopters shelled militants’ bases in Chaharmnag area in Bajaur Agency, killing three militants. The death too may rise. The worsening law and order situation has also resulted in acute shortage of daily essentials and food items in the troubled area.
A 20-kilograms flour bag is being sold at Rs780 while electricity remains suspended since last two months. Meanwhile, the curfew is still in forces in Inayatklay, Tankkhata and Shakai areas for 27th straight days.
