
KARACHI: A forty-one member contingent of Pakistan will fly out of Islamabad for Indonesia today (Tuesday) to participate in the First Asian Beach Games, to be held in Bali from October 18 to 26.
Pakistan will participate in six disciplines in the Games including kabaddi, wrestling, bodybuilding, volleyball, handball and sailing. The six-member sailing squad, including four sailors and two officials, will not accompany the rest of the contingent but will leave for Bali from here today (Tuesday).
Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Syed Ameer Hamza Gilani, who will also serve as secretary cum treasurer during the trip, is already in Bali to attend a meeting today in connection with the Beach Games.
