
MIRPUR: About 138 people belonging to the divided Kashmiri families crossed Line of Control (LoC) through Poonch-Rawlakote bus service from Taitrinote-Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point in Rawalakot district, it was officially learnt on Wednesday.
“The weekly movement of cross-LoC bus service which takes place every Monday was deferred this time to Tuesday in view of polling of the sham elections in Poonch district, the sources said.
Authorities in Poonch as well as AJK had agreed to defer the movement of the bus for a day. Officials said 91 civilians crossed over to AJK from Poonch. They included 42 first timers from the held state and 49 returnees of AJK. From AJK to Poonch, 47 Kashmiris were on board the bus including 20 persons from AJK visiting occupied Kashmir to meet their relatives and 27 returnees of the other side of the LoC.
