
xISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday directed the administration of Islamabad to put together concerted efforts in order to make the capital city a model for rest of the country.
Presiding over a meeting on Islamabad development package here at the PM House, he directed that every effort should be made to meet that objective. He said special attention be given for the provision of education, health, sanitation and gas supply to rural and urban zones of Islamabad evenly.
The prime minister constituted a steering committee with Babar Awan as its Chairman and Faisal Butt and Nayar Bukhari as member public. The prime minister expressed the confidence that with Babar Awan at the head, the steering committee would come up to the expectations of people.
