
LAHORE: The 6th Junior Women's Asia Cup Hockey Tournament will be played from December 13 to 21 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The nine participating teams are divided into two pools. Pakistan, Japan, Malaysia, China and Thailand are in pool A, while pool B comprises Korea, India, Singapore and Chinese Taipei.
Pakistan will play its first match on December 13 against Thailand, second match on the 14th against Japan, third match on the 17th against Malaysia and the fourth pool match on December against 18 China.
The semifinals and classification matches will be played on the 20th and the final and position matches will be held on December 21.
For the preparation of the tournament the training camp of Pakistan Junior Women's hockey team is already in progress at the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP) Stadium Karachi, under the supervision of Olympian Akhlaq Ahmed. The trials for the final team will be held on November 25.
The 34 selected players for the training camp are as follows: Goalkeepers - Rizwana, Maria Eid Muhammad, Imrana Sattar, Tehmina. Full Backs - Sehrish Ghumman, Bismillah Rasheed, Muqadass Parveen, Nadia Kazim, Ishrat, Sehar Shamshad, Zaib-un-Nisa.
Half Backs - Mumtaz Malik, Shahida G Raza, Munazza Irum, Asma Ashraf, Marium Mansha, Saira Saeed, Naintara, Mona Sehar, Aqeela Naz, Sana Gul Zaman, Zakia Nawaz.
Forwards - Nazia Rehmat, Hina Kanwal, Ayesha Rafique, Tahira Batool, Bushra Nazir, Saman Islam, Muqadas Akbar, Gulshan Tahira, Ayesha Bashir, Asma Liaqat, Madeeha Manzoor, Rozina.
