
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Defence, Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar on Wednesday said that the Pakistan government would sign the bailout loan with International Monetary Fund (IMF) on 24th of this month and the first installment of the loan would be transferred to the Central Bank on the same day.
This he said while talking to media in Islamabad, he maintained that IMF did not seek any cut in the defence budget in response of a loan of $7.6 billion sought by the Pakistan government.
He regretted the fragile financial condition of the state and hoped that dollar would sale at Rs. 74 to Rs. 75 in the country after the transference of that IMF loan to State Bank
He also said that Pakistan will not allow any one to attack inside its' territory and in this regard coalition forces were also informed.
He also informed that in the past government of Musharraf did not signed any deal of attacking inside Pakistan, he reiterated that there is full coherence between Army and political government on ongoing war on terror.
