
KANPUR: England were all out for 240 runs in 48.4 overs in the third One-day International against India being played here at the Green Park on Thursday.
India who have already won the first two ODIs have now to chase a moderate target of 241 runs in 49 overs to win the third successive game of the seven-match series.
England winning the toss decided to bat first and their captain Kevin Peitersen changed the batting line-up.
His decision proved fruitful as his openers Bopara and Ian Bell provided a solid start of 79 runs in 14.3 overs. Bopara top scored 60 and Bell made 46.
However, other batsmen except Ovais Shah (40) could not make any significant contribution and the whole team was dismissed for 240 with only two balls remaining.
For India, spinner Harbhajan Singh claimed three wickets while pacers Munaf Patel and Ishant Sharma captured two wickets each Yousuf Pathan and Zaheer Khan took one wicket each.
