KABUL: Pakistan’s army pounded the suspected hideouts of militants that attacked a NATO check-post in Afghanistan, according to a statement issued by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) here on Thursday.
ISAF had asked for help from Pakistan when militants launched attacks on a NATO check-post near Paktipa in Afghanistan.
Responding to the NATO’s appeal, Pakistan’s army heavily bombed the militants’ positions with tanks and artillery.
This step is just one example of increasing cooperation between Pakistan and NATO, said the ISAF. There were no reports of any causality from both the sides.
